Winter clothing requires delicate washing and storage due to the variety of materials.
To prevent damage from incorrect washing and to ensure your high-value clothes last longer, check out these four winter clothing washing methods now!
1️⃣ Gore-Tex (Padding)
Zip up all zippers and buttons and wash with a special outdoor detergent or wool shampoo in warm water around 40 degrees. It’s important to rinse thoroughly to ensure no detergent residue is left, and after washing, hang on a hanger and dry in a well-ventilated shade.

2️⃣ Cashmere
Cashmere is delicate, so handle with special care. First-time washing is recommended to be dry-cleaned, and subsequent washes should be gently pressed and washed in lukewarm water with a wool detergent. After lightly pressing out the water, spread out on a drying rack or flat surface to dry.

3️⃣ Fleece
Fleece can shed or clump, so hand wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent. If using a washing machine, place in a laundry bag to prevent damage and select the wool cycle.

4️⃣ Corduroy
With its densely woven fibers, it’s important to wash corduroy carefully to prevent damage to the fabric. Dissolve a mild detergent in lukewarm water and gently rub by hand before drying in the shade. Brushing off dust and debris after wearing is better than frequent washing.
